The customers are a young family expecting a baby. Also part of the family is a cat, for whom several interesting solutions were developed in the project: recreation areas in the bedroom and living room, a special "cat" door to the bathroom, and a special section in the bathroom for placing a cat toilet.

The apartment is located in an old house built in the second half of the 20th century. The peculiarity of the building's design is the thick load-bearing brick walls that divided the apartment into three parts. In the left part there is a bedroom, in the central part - a spacious living room area with a dining table, as well as dressing room, pantry and hallway areas. In the right section, we placed a bathroom and a kitchen.

When developing the layout solution, the problem of passage to the kitchen area through a narrow, inconvenient corridor was solved. We placed an opening from the living room to the kitchen area, which allowed us to get rid of the corridor and significantly increase the bathroom. It is important to note that an opening in a load-bearing wall can only be made with reinforcement with a metal structure and such a design solution requires approval.
